Lab activity

The Laboratory is certifi ed to carry out the calibratin and repair of seismographs, microphones and geophones manufactured by INSTANTEL Inc. Ottawa, Canada. Those instruments are designed to monitor the blasting eff ect on the environment. In addition to standard calibration methods, the Laboratory measures seismic eff ects of blasting, i.e. the velocity of oscillation, displacement, relative displacement, acceleration, air overpressure and shock wave in the water. The equipment includes 15 seismographs with a series of sensors.
